Wednesday Night Suppers:
Most Wednesday nights from September thru March a hot home-cooked meal is served in the Family Life Center from 5:00 to 6:15 pm. The menu changes weekly and provides family friendly entrees. Food is served cafeteria style and you are encouraged to mingle and meet new people while you eat or arrange to connect with friends. Perhaps your family just needs a table to themselves so that you can reconnect after a busy day apart. Use this opportunity to connect in the way that suits you best!
Friends and family are all invited to enjoy the meals and if you are able we suggest a $4 per person donation to help cover the cost of these delicious meals. Donations can be made in receptacles provided near the serving lines.
Following our Wednesday night suppers, discipleship classes and opportunities for the whole family are available, beginning at 6:30pm.

Discovering First - Class: Discovering First has been designed to introduce guests to First Reformed Church.
In this class we will take time to explore the numerous ways people benefit from being a committed part of the First community. Membership is not a requirement for participation at First Church. We enjoy having you worship here and trust that you are connecting with God in a meaningful way on Sunday mornings. However, there are tremendous benefits to church membership, which people don’t always realize. In the class you will be presented with the structures and strategies of First Church, which guide our ministry. Many visitors to First observe church life from a distance without fully realizing the prayerfully thought out purposes and goals we are driven by. The leadership here has undergone an intense evaluation of our identity at First, comparing it to the Biblical model of the church, and we believe that we are headed in a direction that will richly bless not only members but also the community as well. We are devoted to God performing extraordinary things through our faithful obedience to His will and would welcome the opportunity to work along side of you in accomplishing this task. During this course we will take time to express the church’s beliefs and Reformed affiliation. Understanding that Zeeland is growing more and more diverse in its people make up, and appreciating the value of all individuals, First seeks to lovingly receive and embrace all people while presenting the absolute truths presented in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. During this class you will also have the opportunity to learn about how God has uniquely made you for a purpose. Holding to the “priesthood of all believers” (Rev. 1:6) we are very intentional about helping people discover their PLACE in ministry. If you enjoy First and are wanting to learn more about us, or if you just want an opportunity to meet more people, then consider this special course and contact Pastor Tom at the church office (616-772-9129) or by email at tom@frcz.org.
